Next event of MMČR calendar is RB with Sosnová

Next event in the calendar of MMČR is the 40th Rally Bohemia, which starts off in Mladá Boleslav on 12th July. The competition counts into FIA European Rally Cup (coefficient 10) and Mediasport International Rally Championship of the Czech Republic (MMČR).

Rally Bohemia uses this year the traditional event scheme having special stages split into two legs. Ceremonial start of rally takes place on 12th July in Mladá Boleslav. Crews will set out to spectators’ special stage called “Staroměstská” leading in the streets of Mladá Boleslav right after driving over the start ramp. Finish of this SS will be situated near the start and finish ramp.

Part of Saturday’s programme of 40th Rally Bohemia is among other special stages also spectators’ super special stage at Autodrome in Sosnová near Česká Lípa, which is also known for the Meeting of Champions (“Setkání Mistrů”). “This year we have tried to redesign the track to make it for spectators as attractive as possible. One of the circuits has been shortened making it equally long with the other one. Spectator should be able to see the difference between two cars right after the first lap,” says Pavel Dušánek, Head of the Organization Committee, about the track in Sosnová. It will contain the spectators’ favourite gravel section this year again. “There will be two artificial jumps created on the track as well. The first one will be right after start having both cars jumping simultaneously and second one at the opposite side of the circuit, where only one car will jump at a time. After last year experience the characteristic of jumps is made differently now. It all will be tested before the race by a rally driver, who unfortunately won’t participate in Rally Bohemia this year,” adds Pavel Dušánek.

Special stage 13 – Parallel Autodrome Show starts off on 13th July at 18:00 in Sosnová, where all spectators are warmly welcomed.
