Rally Bohemia in new shape has published Supplementary Regulations and opened applications
Approved Supplementary Regulations are already available on the Rally Bohemia 2019 website as well as an electronic application form for the competition. Crews who apply until mid-June, that is, one month before the competition, can take advantage of the entry fee discount.
On the official website of the competition www.rallybohemia.cz, in the Documents section, the Supplementary Regulations of the competition can be found, with all the necessary information for this year’s 46th Rally Bohemia. The organizer has decided to award discounts on entry fee for early crews in the following amount:
Crews of Autoclub Czech Rally Championship (contemporary cars) registered by Friday 14th June 2019 – discount CZK 1,530
Crews of Autoclub Czech Historic Rally Championship registered by Friday 14th June 2019 – discount CZK 1,330
Crews of ECO Energy Rally Bohemia – FIA Electric and New Energy Championship – signed by Sunday 16th June. 2019 – discount € 150.
Crews of ECO Energy Rally Bohemia – ECO rally organizer cup – signed by Sunday 16th June 2019 – discount CZK 3,000.
In the Supplementary Regulations, it is also possible to find the time schedule of the competition, which is particularly interesting this year. The organizer managed to make a fundamental change of the tracks and return the special stages to the traditional areas of Český Dub, Liberec, Železný Brod and Turnov, where the last competitiond took place 20 or 30 years ago or never before. At the end of April, an authorized representative of the pilots, Petr Černohorský, made a tour of the Rally Bohemia 2019 track and issued the following statement: “The organizer very pleasantly surprised me because 3/4 of the tracks were not on display during the last years of Rally Bohemia. These tracks are very technical, full of alternating tempos and surfaces and constant action is demanded. No retarders needed to be placed on any of the new sections. I so much appreciate the fact that the organizers have done so much work with the preparation of new special stages.”
Let’s take a closer look at the program and schedule of this year’s Rally Bohemia. For the first time, fans will be able to meet the leading rally crews of the Czech Rally Championship on autograph signing at Mladá Boleslav Bondy Center on Thursday 11th July 2019 at 7 pm. Racing cars will be able to be seen for the first time at the test stand / Shakedown on the Loukov – Kruhy track in close proximity to the competition service area at Hoškovice airport on Friday 12th July from 1:30 to 17 pm.
The race will start after many years where it started in the past: At the Autodrome in Sosnová near Česká Lípa, by a double pass through the spectator super-RZ 1/2 SCALA Gladiator Sosnová. Therefore, all crews will be presented to viewers twice with attractive parallel drag races, where it will be possible to compare their speed directly. The Rally Bohemia Facebook profile will include a poll, which crews the audience wants to see racing against which. On Saturday morning, the starting field of the Championship of Historic Cars will be the first on the track, which will be preceded by contemporary cars – the Czech Rally Championship – on Saturday. The traditional ceremonial start will take place from 9:30 am, which will return to the Staroměstské Square in Mladá Boleslav after a one-year break. ŠKODA AUTO Staroměstská I stage 3 will be in close proximity to it, after which the racing cars will head back to the short service in Hoškovice near Mnichovo Hradiště. Then they will be waiting for a series of five challenging SSs in a row, with the first three SSs – Hradčany, Rašovka and Milíře being completely new. Two more stages Mogul Bzí and Střevelná are returning to the Rally Bohemia schedule after several years in innovated forms.
After completing thesefive SSs, the competitors will head back to the Hoškovice Airport for a much deserved afternoon service break. After it is passed, there is awaiting a repeated pass through all five special stages in a row.
On Sunday morning, the starting field of contemporary cars will be the first on the track – the Czech Rally Championship. Crews and spectators will be able to look forward to another new stage in Kvitkovice. This will be followed by a proven, but also treacherous, Chloudov test, which will include a new asphalt this year. The same applies to the popular stage Radostín, which is the most popular stage of Rally Bohemia and also the longest speed test with almost 22 kilometers. After completing these three-stages crews go to the service so that their teams can prepare racing cars for repeated midday passes through these special stages. But even after their passage, the crews will not be done yet. After another service break, the second passage of the demanding ŠKODA AUTO Staroměstská stage in the center of Mladá Boleslav will be waiting for them. She shuffles the order a little more every year and continues with ceremonial finish at the Staroměstské Square.
The rally of the Czech Rally Championship and the Czech Rally Championship of historical cars will also be traditionally accompanied by rally legends of participants of the exhibition rally of historical cars. The “Legends” will pass the complete program of the first stage, including Friday’s super-RZ SCALA Gladiator Sosnová. On Sunday, Rally Legend participants will pass first parts of special stages and then head to the finish on the Staroměstské Square, where they will open a series of finish ceremonies before 2 pm.
The time schedule of the classic rally will partly coincide with the time schedule of ECO Energy Rally Bohemia. After Thursday’s check-in and briefing for crews, it will start on Friday morning with a ceremonial start in Liberec on Dr. Eduard Beneš square. From here the crews will go to the Lusatian Mountains and the Česká Lípa Region. On Friday, the crews undergo 12 regularity tests of total lenght 159 km, including two passes of the spectator super-SS at the Autodrome in Sosnová, where they will open the Friday evening program.
On Saturday morning ECO Energy Rally Bohemia crews will go for three longer tests of regularity to the foothills of the Jizera Mountains. In the afternoon, their time schedule will be combined with a classic rally when they have regularity tests on closed stages of Hradčany, Rašovka, Milíře and Bzí. On Sunday, three of the four timed sections will also take place on the tracks of the special stages, which will be Kvítkovice, Chloudov and Staroměstská.
In total, the ECO Energy Rally Bohemia participants will take the 620 km long track, of which 306 will be divided into 23 regularity stages. Using the discount from the entry fee on check-in, which is possible till Sunday 16th June 2019, the entry fee is only CZK 5,900 CZK / € 300 (+ insurance) for the entire crew. This is a very favourable price. For the sake of completeness, let us remind you that the ECO energy Rally Bohemia will be the sixth event of the FIA Electric and New Energy Championship World Championship, which will be supplemented by the ECO Rally Cup, which is subject to looser rules and can also include hybrid cars, CNG, LPG or ethanol (E85). Therefore, ECO energy Rally Bohemia can be attended by anyone interested among motorised public.
