Comeback of Rally Bohemia to Sosnová – Promise of a big Show
This year, after five years, Rally Bohemia will continue in the tradition of special spectator SS on the racing arena Autodrom Sosnová. On this occasion the organizers are preparing a new even more attractive shape of the track, on which directly two special stages will run. There will be also attractions for children on the grounds, so the whole families may get satisfied.
Autodrom Sosnová near Česká Lípa and Rally Bohemia belonged inseparably to each other for years. The return into this famous racing locality will be arranged through two special stages SS8/9 Global Assistance Gladiator Sosnová I./II. going immediately one after the other at the end of Saturday leg. On the occasion of the renewed premiere, the organizers are preparing some spectator-attractive novelties. Rally Bohemia Clerk of the Course, Petr Pavlát, has revealed more: “Always two cars will start at the same time, so a direct duel will be involved in the same way as in the past. What´s new, though, is the fact that each crew is going to run twice (as SS8 and SS9), namely each time from a different start place. Then also part of the track will run on gravel, which means there will not be lack of attractive skids. In addition, I would like to say that since the beginning of April the fans have been able to choose a pair of “gladiators” from the head of start list that they would like to see driving against one another. The pair with most votes will be pitted against each other (in case they both arrive at the super SS Sosnová after the demanding first leg). So the track at Sosnová will be worth seeing. We want the whole families to enjoy the visit of the super SS on the racing arena, so a big jumping maze will be ready for children there.“ Vast spectator stands are commonplace in Global Assistance Racing Arena as well as enough booths with refreshment and rally souvenirs, so everything necessary for a comfortable spectator experience.
And what is the Rally Bohemia schedule at Sosnová?
On Saturday 30.6.the programme here will be opened by the starting field of Czech Historic Sporting Rally Championship (cars from 60th- 90th), which will set out on the track of SS 8 Global Assistance Gladiator Sosnová I. from 5:13 p.m. Its second passage as SS 9 will follow from 5:27 p.m. The passage of SS for participants of Rally Bohemia Legend (again racing cars from 60th- 90th) will follow before 6 p.m. Although the “Legends“ will only run one SS, they will run two circuits at a time so that they had enough space for entertaining the spectators during their exhibition drive without times measuring. And then the finale of the first leg of Rally Bohemia will follow, namely two passages of top contemporary cars of Czech Rally Championship from 6:39 p.m. and 6:53 p.m. Everything is ready for a big show, which the spectators are warmly invited to by the organizers of Rally Bohemia.
