46th Edition of Rally Bohemia will be held in the midlle of July
After several years, the forty-sixth edition of Rally Bohemia, a traditional top sports event in the districts of Mladá Boleslav and Liberec, will be held in the mid-July again. Namely from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th July 2019. The organizer´s intention is to bring back to life some of the famous competition long-year traditions.
As usual, even the 46th Rally Bohemia in 2019 will host the prestigious Czech Rally Championship again. Following its successful premiere of this year, the event of FIA Electric and New Energy Championship, i.e. an unofficial World Championship for vehicles with electric or alternative drives, will be included for the second time in Rally Bohemia. Then, we will also welcome traditional participants of Rally Bohemia Historic (Czech Historical Sporting Championship) and Rally Legend in Mladá Boleslav.
The organizer Autoklub Bohemia Sport v AČR has made requests in the villages where Rally Bohemia was run in the remote past so that they could revive the traditions of the famous rally whose history goes back to the year 1974. Naturally, it is too early to anticipate now how successful this effort will be. In addition to other factors, its success will mainly depend on the attitude adopted by newly elected local authorities of the villages addressed. Yet now, however, it is clear that at least one tradition will be brought back. In the past for many years Rally Bohemia started with Friday evening Prolog on Sosnová racing circuit near Česká Lípa. And after many years this will happen again next year. Similarly to the previous years a motley field of racing cars will present itself on Saturday and Sunday at special stages directly in the streets of Mladá Boleslav, including its centre. The competition Service Park will be located again at the airport in Hoškovice near Mnichovo Hradiště.
A general partner of the competition will be traditionally the car company ŠKODA AUTO, which make a decisive contribution to continuation of the long tradition of the top rallysport in the district of Mladá Boleslav and its surroundings.
