Whom shall we see at Rally Bohemia Historic?

Almost fifty crews have been attracted to the participation in Rally Bohemia Historic, which has been included in FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship for the first time this year. Mladá Boleslav will welcome all currently leading crews of the European Championship in all the main four categories: “Pedro” – Baldaccini, Marenzana – Beltrame, Myrsell – Junttila and Norrgard – Hämäläinen. The complete top of the Czech Historic Rally Championship will be also present.

This year, cars with homologation until 1990 are admitted into the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship. We can see the fast Italian crew Massimo „Pedro“ Pedretti – Emanuele Baldaccini that is currently leading the European Championship in category 4, and can be considered prime candidates for winning. “Pedro“ is driving Lancia Delta Integrale 16V this year, however, due to an accident at the previous competition in Belgium he has had to replace it for an older but from the spectators’ viewpoint more attractive Lancia Rally 037 for the start at Rally Bohemia. He has already managed to gain the title of European Historic Sporting Rally Champion with this car. Pilot Giuseppe Bosurgi will arrive from Italy with another Lancia Rally 037 of the legendary group B. Also Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16 of the Finnish crew Liukkonen – Suhonen, registered in category 4, will be able to draw attention with its attractive ride. The currently leading pilot of category 3, Carlo Marenzana from Italy, and current leader of category 2, Mats Myrsell from Sweden, will present themselves with popular cars Porsche 911. The elite European three of Porsche 911 cars will be completed with another fast Italian Maurizio Pagella.

Ford Escort cars never remain unnoticed at the Historic Sporting Rally either. At Rally Bohemia Historic three of these will be driven by the Swedish Söderberg and Jansson and Hungarian Wirtmann. The start at Mladá Boleslav will be not missed by one of the holders of the provisional winning places in category 1 – the oldest cars. So you will find among the registered racers Sverre Norrgard with BMW 2002 TI, Antonio Parisi with Porsche 911 as well as Pekka Anttalainen with today already unique Škoda Felicia Super 996. Then we will be able to see cars Datsun 1600 SSS and Alfa-Romeo 1750 GTam in the European starting field.

An impressive number of 34 crews has been attracted by Rally Bohemia Historic within the Czech Historic Rally Championship. The main favourites can be seen in the last year winners Jan Krejča – Pavel Šárka with Škoda 130 LR, then in Jiří Petrášek with Opel Ascona, in the silver man of last year Czech Historic Rally Championship Petr Hustý with Alfa Romeo, Martin Knížek with Škoda Favorit or in the pilots of cars Lada VFTS Václav Hostaš and Pavel Karlík. The Liberec legend of circuit races and still quite fast European Champion of 1981, Břetislav Enge, will start with Škoda 130 LR. In addition to various types of historic racing cars Škoda, from model 1000 MB up to model Favorit, we will be able to see for example a historic Porsche 911 of Jaroslav Petrásek, Lancia Delta driven by Lubomír Sychra or an extraordinary Lancia Beta Coupe 2000i of Zdeněk Kroupar during the Czech Historic Rally Championship.
