Rally Bohemia will be opened with Ceremonial Start

The Ceremonial Start in Staroměstské náměstí (square) in Mladá Boleslav on Friday 10th July will be the common official opening of 42nd Rally Bohemia, Rally Bohemia Historic as well as Rally Bohemia Legend.

Rally Bohemia held at the weekend on 11th and 12th July 2015 will be officially opened on Friday evening with the Ceremonial Start in the very centre of Mladá Boleslav. Here, already from 6.15 p.m., jazz-swing band Crazy Boys, comprised of both top professionals and amateurs, will be playing and inviting spectators to the start. They will get the centre of Mladá Boleslav as well as the spectators watching in the right mood before we welcome the first racing car on the start ramp. This will be one of the crews starting in FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship. The participants of this Championship will appear all at the start ramp and will drive on it in the reversed order, which means from the highest starting number to the lowest, in the same way as the selected participants of Czech Historic Rally Championship and Rally Bohemia Legend, where six biggest stars or crews with the most interesting cars will introduce themselves. Finn Juho Hänninen will not be missing.

A sort of flashback of the history of ŠKODA brand in motorsport will be prepared for the spectators, when in short sequences all racing cars of the brand with a winged arrow in emblem, which gathered laurel wreaths at special stages both at home and abroad in the past, will appear on the start ramp. In short, the spectators will see everything from Škoda 1000 MB, through 130 RS and WRC up to the latest Škoda Fabia R5. This one will be driven to the start ramp by Jan Kopecký with Pavel Dresler and also by the Finnish crew of the current winners of the Polish Rally WRC-2 Esapekka Lappi – Janne Ferm from ŠKODA Motorsport team. Selected top crews of the Czech Rally Championship with present-day cars will follow according to the start numbers allocated.

Overall more than five dozen cars with crews will introduce themselves at the Ceremonial Start of Rally Bohemia 2015. Each of the ceremonial start sections will be completed with interviews and a short press conference of three crews selected from each championship. The end of the Ceremonial Start is planned for Friday before 10 p.m.
