Rally Bohemia 2015 with Record Numbers

The final start lists of all parts of this year Rally Bohemia comprise total 212 crews. It is a record number and the highest number of participants in the new history of the competition.

The number of the crews registered for Rally Bohemia 2015 and their variety guarantees that really each spectator and motorsport fan will get bang for their buck this year. Let us look at this year Rally Bohemia through the speech of numbers.

Total 212 crews are registered. 15 for FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship, 102 for Czech Rally Championship, 33 for Czech Historic Rally Championship, 28 for Regional Rally Cup (from this 10 are registered for Czech Rally Championship at the same time) and 44 for Rally Legend.

Pairs from 12 different countries take part in the competition: Czech Republic 157 crews, Germany 24 crews, Poland 7 crews, Finland and Italy by 6 crews, Belgium and Sweden by 3 crews, Hungary 2 crews, and always 1 crew will represent Slovakia, Denmark, Norway and Switzerland.

Total 26 brands, both current and past, are registered for Rally Bohemia. Škoda brand with 65 cars markedly dominates the start lists. The particular numbers are as follows: Škoda 65, Renault 19, Mitsubishi 16, Trabant 14, Honda 11, Ford and Opel by 10, Peugeot 9, Citroën and Porsche by 8, Subaru 7, BMW 6, Lada 5, Lancia 4, Alfa Romeo and Suzuki by 3, Audi, Datsun/Nissan, Seat and Wartburg by 2, Fiat Abarth, Mercedes-Benz, Mini John Cooper, Moskwitch, Toyota and Volkswagen by 1. The fourth place of Trabant brand, especially thanks to German participants of Regional Rally Cup, is a curiosity.

And what do the numbers of competitors in individual classes look like?

Rally Bohemia Historic (FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship + Czech Historic Rally Championship): Category 4 (E; 1982-1990) – 18 cars, category 3 (D; 1976-1981) – 9 cars, category 2 (C; 1970-1975) – 13 cars, category 1 (A, B; 1931-1969) – 4 cars. Czech National category 5 Classic (F; 1991-1996): 4 cars.

42th Rally Bohemia (Czech Rally Championship): Class 3 – 17 cars, classes 6 and 8 by 16 cars, class 7 – 13 cars, class 2 – 10 cars, class 5 – 9 cars, class 13 – 8 cars, class 9 – 7 cars, class 11 – 4 cars and class 4 – 2 cars.

During the exhibition drive of Rally Legend the crews will introduce to spectators 22 competition cars from the 70’s, 14 cars from the 80’s and by 4 cars from the 60’s and 90’s. Nine cars of Rally Legend are the cars in specification of B group.

Because of a big number of registered crews the time schedules of all parts of Rally Bohemia had to be slightly changed. The updated time schedules as well as the complete Start List can be found online at www.rallybohemia.cz.
